  On 5 March we will have a guided tour of the Guildhall Art Gallery, led by one of the Gallery's specialist guides.  The tour will start at 3.30 p.m., and finish by 5.00 p.m. when the Gallery closes.

  Afterwards (not included in the £15 ticket price) members and their guests may proceed to The Trading House at 89 Gresham Street, where drinks and evening meals will be available - we will reserve some tables.
  
  Note that bags are scanned on entry to the Gallery so do allow plenty of time for that - suggested arrival time 3.15 p.m.  There is an excellent cloakroom in the basement, where coats and bags may be stored securely.  You do need a £1 or €1 coin - but you do get it back when you leave.

  The Guildhall Art Gallery has lifts to each floor so is fully accessible.

  Farringdon Ward Club is delighted to announce that its 2026 Civic Lunch will be held at Waterman’s Hall.  Alderman and Sheriff Robert Hughes-Penney is our principal guest.  Robert’s ward when first elected as a Common Councillor was Farringdon Within, and he remains a member of our Club, so it will be especially pleasing to welcome him on Friday 17^th April.

  The Company of Watermen and Lightermen have a historic Hall on St Mary at Hill, and a different panel of caterers to Guildhall.  This has allowed us to hold the price to the same level - £105 - as it was last year, and to use our preferred caterer. 

  We have, however, just 70 tickets to offer to members so it is strictly first-come, first-served.

  The 2026 AGM will be held at the Club for Acts and Actors, which is at 20 Bedford Street in Covent Garden.  Although a short walk to the west of the Farringdon Wards it is managed by Club member Peter Cliffe, who is sure to make sure we will have a splendid evening.

  The ticket price includes canapes and a first drink after the meeting itself, and there will be a cash (and that means cash cash!) bar for those who wish to stay and socialise afterwards.
