FARRINGDON WARD CLUB
21 October is Trafalgar Day, the anniversary of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's famous defeat of the combined French and Spanish navies off the Spanish Atlantic coast in 1805.
The Army & Navy Club, (aka "The Rag" - all will be explained) was established in 1837 for officers of the Army, Navy and Royal Marines. Members of the Farringdon Ward Club and their guests are invited to a tour of the Club, which is on Pall Mall (on the corner of St James' Square) on the eve of this famous anniversary, followed by afternoon tea in the Club's delightful Nelson Room.
We will start at 3.00 p.m. and expect to finish 5.00 - 5.30 p.m. Tickets cost £55 for members and £60 for guests.
The Tea will consist of mixed finger sandwiches, assorted cakes, scones with cream and jam, tea or coffee. Please advise of any dietary requirements.
